acer aspire t 180 fan;s work..replaced power supply..removed small battery and replaced after a minute...dvd light is on and works...but try to turn the pc on no power light and a black screen

My first guess would be a motherboard problem. Given that you have replaced the power supply. It's probably time to replace the entire PC given it's age.

when we replaced the power supply and plugged it into the power it booted up and started doing fine...we shut it down to replace the side panel and when we turned it on it would not load up..no light on power button.and now all we get is dvd power..fan works and the hard drive has power...but thanks might have to have a new pc
