My mother in law lap top powers up and no screen. I no it's not broke ... Treated it great... Never dropped. I was wandering the back light board to be bad

Try this

1. Remove the battery and cable.

2. Press and hold the power button for 58 seconds.

3. Replug and start.

Good luck

Hello Nick,

I think the problem might be caused by failed motherboard or failed video card. Can you hear the fan spinning? Does any light go on when you press the initializ? button? Sometimes black screen shows when there's not enough power supply or hard drive burnt out.
Please, provide some more info. Thank you.
