Gateway laptop screen went black

I was on my gateway laptop Looking at a program on the Internet when the screen went black. When I tried to reboot the laptop it will not turn on. When pushing the on button, a blue light blinks and the goes off. I tried holding down the on button for 15 seconds, the laptop wouldn't come on. HELP!!!

Try this:

1. Remove the battery and cable
2. Press and hold the power button for 58 seconds.
3. Replug and boot.
