I cant get my date and time to work correctly

I've been fighting with my used iPhone 5C with the date and time nothing i do has worked I've called tech support and took it into a Verizon store they are all stumped and so am i. i don't know what else to do and when trying the way you suggested it doesn't give me any other oppositions after i click restart
