Computer takes ages to turn on

Hello,
I reset my computer to factory settings and now it boots up saying something about the hard drive and then in general it takes ages to load, I wouldn't be worried but this is not some terrible school computer therefore I am confused. Did I not reset it to factory settings correctly? Help is appreciated.
