Dell inspiron duelcore laptop, self diagnostics test says hdd ok

Hello,
i have new dell insprion laptop, that comes with linux-ubuntu. first i loaded win 7 in it. then now i want to load win 8.1. 1st time it shows dyanamic partition and it shows no hdd. but dell self diagnostics tool says all things are ok. please help me.

Linux and Windows use different hard drive Management/Partition software. It's possible the Windows 7 changed the drive to a "dynamic partition" when it encountered the Linux Partition during it's install.

You might need to use one of the Partition Management Utility programs to erase all the current partitions before you can install Windows.

Google "Partition Management" to find a Bootable Disk download.
