Hello,

I have tried to upgrade my computer and have got the following
2x 1GB Kingston RAM
Gigabyte EG41M-S2H Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6400
430W power supply

I have tried it with another power supply, another motherboard and another processor (E8400) all with the same result.

With no RAM in the motherboard it beeps as it should. The HDD is spinning (I have tried 2 HDD as well). The LEDs on the motherboard are lit, the CPU fan is spinning. I have reset the CMOS. I have taken the entire thing out of the case because I thought the motherboard might be shorting on the case. I have tried only 1GB RAM at a time and there is no change.

Have I missed something??

Thanks in advance.

hi
try to get some other RAMs or try these RAMs on another working computer to see what is the result.
if the result is the same as in this computer, then your RAM is faulty.

The RAM works in another computer and the RAM from another computer is not working in this computer. Has the same result. Also tested to see if CPU heats up and it does.
Any more suggestions?
