Cant connect to my browser

My aging laptop running win 7 has just stopped allowing me onto Google or any associated stuff. I can still email and speak on skype but no browser connection. I am not a wizard with this stuff but can anyone help

It's possible that IE settings have been changed. I would look for a proxy server setting and delete it. or you can change all the Internet security settings back to the defaults.
