I am locked out of my XP administrator account and do not have a way in. Old computer I forgot about years ago. Tried ctrl+alt+delete twice and tried logging in but it told me I could not get in. Help!

Hello Keemstar

I am afraid that your goose is cooked, especially with XP. You would need to reinstal the operating system from the disks. Since XP is no longer supported, your XP would create all kinds of bugs as you would need to install XP sp2 and sp3 which are no longer available.

Your system may not be able to support another operating system, Linux, may be.

Sorry

Update: in the lower right corner there is text reading:

"You may be a victim of software counterfeiting. This copy does not pass as a genuine windows software copy"

Explanation?

Your copy of Windows XP is not genuine, hence Windows disabled your operating system. You had to purchase the license and register it.
