Houseparty was a free social networking app that everyone had been waiting for. Easy to use with a simple interface, it was a face-to-face application that enabled you to instantly connect and video call any of your contacts (also app users) who were online at that moment.
Disclaimer: As of October 2021, Houseparty has been discontinued. Current app users will no longer be able to connect from October, and the app has been removed from the App Store and the Google Play Store. What are the key features of Houseparty?
- The Houseparty app is unlike other messaging apps in that you see your online or available contacts displayed and then connect with them instantly in a face-to-face video call!
- The app makes connecting effortless and lets you know when other friends are 'in the house' so they can jump right into the conversation with you.
- The application allows up to eight people per Houseparty room and a user can open an infinite number of rooms and easily jump from one to another.

Houseparty also enables you to have group video calls. Once connected, people can see who amongst their contacts is chatting together and join the conversation by simply clicking 'join'. The most fun feature of Houseparty is the possibility of playing games with your friends. Just click on the little dice icon on the right top of your screen and add friends to play with you.
