Move Action is an open source application allowing users to monitor their webcam and manipulate some actions when movement is detected.

Key Features

  • The software is practical for home security since the movement detection can initiate a direct alarm through an external application that can connect to the authorities.
  • It’s safe for personal use since it can also block the computer to deny access from a stranger detected in the movement. The interface is easy to use and the graphic design makes it a good experience.
  • For video use, you can monitor the movement in the camera and take screenshots from determined angles and export them in a JPEG format. You can immediately send your images via email or through a FTP server.
  • The software allows the user to control the video by generating the alarms needed to detect each move, if there’s a direct control over the video, the camera can be manipulated automatically to enhance the image selected or be programmed to do it on it’s own.
