When you plug youe flash drive into a Windows machine it is assigned a drive letter. It may change if you have more than one flash drive plugged in at a time on one occation and less on another occasion when the drive is plugged into the machine, especially if you dont plug it into the same port.
It really is as simple as that - it is the letter that Windows assigns to the drive whildt it is plugged in and active.
