Which antivirus is best for Laptop?

I am very tired from the malware attack on my laptop. I don't want to use avast antivirus anymore because that is just waste of time and money. So which antivirus is best and have long lasting results.

No antivirus is perfect. If your laptop gets infected most often it because you put it at risk while surfing malicious websites or downloading malware.

Avast is free so it's not a waste of money.

I use Kaspersky but I paid for it and it gives an excellent protection.
