Hello,
I have a hp pavilion laptop that when I turn on it instantly goes to a back lit screen that just dark. If I press F11 to do a recovery it just shows a prompt in the bottom left corner that says “F11. . . System recovery” and then after this it can be rest to just a blank screen again with “ctrl + alt + del”. Is anyone else experiencing this? Or have an answer to it as I need it for uni?

Try this
1. Remove the battery and cable.
2. Press and hold the power button for 58 seconds.
3. Replug and start.
Good luck

Will it boot in safe mode?
Do you have a recovery disk?
What is your operating system ?
If you turn on the computer and repeatedly press the F11 key, about once every second, your Recovery Manager should open.
Under I need help immediately, click System Recovery.
When System Recovery prompts you to back up your files, select a backup option.
If you have already backed up personal files or you do not want to back up personal files, select Recover without backing up your files, and then click Next. Continue to the next step.
