Hello,
after installing AVG 8.5, why many window files have been corrupted and while opening drives,open with dialog appears "choose the program you want to use to open this file" this message appears and many applications are not working as before.What to do to resolve this?

Hi
try a system restore.

start > all programs > accessories > system tools > system restores.

Also, try running a check disk.
go to start > run > type "cmd" press enter and return. type chkdsk /f /r and chose the "y" option.
restart the PC, see how it goes.

hi,
I m neither able to open system restore nor command prompt, disk drives, user accounts,add remove programs in control panel after installing AVG Free 8.5.plz suggest solution

restart your PC and keep tapping F8 before it starts to load windows.
from this list select either:

"safe mode" then remove AVG 8

or

"restore to last good known configuration" and see what happens then.
