Why can't I just use my log in like the normal way I will change my recovery email and number once I can log in the right way but yahoo does not want to give me this option I have even tried on PC and it's still asking me about a number I no longer have

When is the last time you successfully accessed your account?

When you created the account, did you register a secret question which you remember, or an alternate recovery email address or phone number to which you have access to receive a reset code?

Yahoo has done away with secret questions, they are not being asked anymore or if they are asked they do not work.

Unfortunately, if you have not registered an alternate recovery email address to which you have access to receive a reset code, you cannot prove that you are the account's legitimate owner. Hence account recovery is absolutely impossible and there is no way around it.

Sorry
