Hard Drive Crisis!

Hello,
i dropped my hard drive and when i insert it into the computer, the "removable disk" icon appears at the bottom but when i went to My Computers and there was no removable disk shown - so i can't access the hard drive because there is not for me to click on, or open. The hard drive still lights up when i insert it into the computer - shows that it is "working".

hi,
go to device manager to check if you find it there.
right-click on My Computer and select manage.
then click on device manager.
