Press the Numlock key. Does it light up? If it doesn't, it is hung, and press and hold the power button! If it does light up/change, then press the windows key. Did the menu respond? No, it is hung. Yes? Post back!

"No try, only do."

You pressing the power button should have resulted in the PC shutting down. If it didn't, you didn't hold it down long enough!

I am not certain what you are talking about! I am talking about pressing and holding down the power button until it turns off!

Does it hang every time it boots? If so, we need to know what make and model it is, so that we can see if BIOS will let you in.

OK, press the power button, and keep hitting F10. DO NOT press and hold F10, but continuously press F10, on and off, until it beeps. Once it beeps, stop. Let us know if it boots to BIOS!

Perfect. That is the BIOS screen. Now, cancel out and not save. Now, do the same thing, but this time, hit F8 until it boots. If a menu comes up, select SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING.

If it won't load into safe mode, I am at the end of the troubleshooting road! Try cntrl-alt-delete again, and if it doesn't respond, that is it. Time for a new Hardware, and OS. Do you remember how much free space you had on your drive? You could boot that behind another OS, and clean, and see if that make a diff! If you don't know what I am talking about, it is time for a NEW machine! Post back if it responds to the last command!

I think I should try to reinstall windows XP if this problem persists,i should buy new machine

Thanx bro for the efforts you put to help me I'll try to contact u after a recovery or installation of windows

DO NOT RE-install XP! There are no updates, you will be really creating a non usable device!
0
I understand it isn't usable now, but your efforts are wasted, as it will really not be usable. At least right now, after you get a machine, we can recover what is on the machine!

7 is nice, 10 is best! It is nice to hit the windows key, and start typing, and an app pops up! It is a service, so understand you are under MS control, as updates will wreak havoc, but if you have modern hardware, it is great!

I can hit windows key, SNI and snipping tool is at my disposal within a matter of a couple keystrokes! Then again, I am a command line type, in an APP world!
