I have an HP 4000. Haven't used in over a year. Set it up only to listen to it beep 5 times in 3 consecutive episodes then fan comes on but monitor says going into sleep mode and then nothing. I've tried removing each of the the two RAM sticks but no resolution. Is replacing the RAM the fix? Please help. I cannot afford this nor a new PC at this time and it's crucial I have this resolved .

Hi

HP 4000 is a laser printer, please verify your computer model again.

Thank you
I suggest you remove one ram stick at a time and test each one.

Thank you
I have done this and it didn't resolve. Does this mean they need replacing? Also, is the 4000 microtower the same as the SFF as far as replacement RAM sticks?

Try replacing just one, you need a stick : DDR3 SDRAM
