Hi Misspriss,

Was the hard drive replaced?

What do you mean by recovering from this page?

Did you need to reinstall the operating system?

Was the laptop resettled?

Sorry, my question was not worded correctly.

Did you reinstall the operating system?

Is your laptop in good working order,?

What do you mean by recovering from this page?

Thanks,

Looks like the thieve damaged your hard drive which may need to be replaced. There are software which can recover files but only on working computers. A qualified technician does have the necessary equipment to retrieve some or all the data on a damaged hard disk. They usually charge on the HD volume (amount of data) basis.

Also, perhaps that the scoundrel has shaken you machine so much that the hard drive mechanism got loose, again a qualified technician could tell you.

I am curious! I certainly woul like to know how you got back your laptop after it was stolen?

Good luck
