Cant reset password due to feature block,

My galaxy phone has two different email accounts attached to it. First there is a Yahoo account, which is attached to my main Facebook profile that I've been using for years. The second one is a Gmail account, which is attached to a throwaway account that I only used for a very brief period of time back in 2009. After seeing that I was getting notifications about people posting stuff on the wall of this throwaway account, I got curious and clicked on a link to it. I never made any attempt at logging into this old throwaway account, I only wanted to look at the profile. Simply because of the fact that I clicked on a link that was in an email that was sent to my Gmail account, my phone became confused as to who I am. Clicking on that link immediately caused my main Facebook account to be automatically logged out. Trying to reset the password to my main account resulted in the "You have entered too many codes" error, even though it was the first code that I tried to enter. Repeated attempts at getting the code to work eventually resulted in a "you have been misusing this feature and have been blocked out of it" message. Someone on another forum said to wait a few days and try to login from a PC, but I want to know if there's anything else I can do to fix this problem sooner, and I'm worried that another 24 hours will be added to my block each time I try to request a code.

We heard that a 92 hour wait may solve the issue.

92 hours from when I first clicked on that link? Or 92 hours from when my most recent failed attempt was?

Does the fact that the FB account associated with my Yahoo account is still successfully logged in to the FB messenger app matter at all?

None of the responses have worked for me - I have had the same problem Waited 24 hours and 96 hours as well. Have verified my identity, used new email, all the above. Facebook is worthless when trying to get help through their portal. Has anyone solved this issue yet?
