Gateway ne 522 screen remains black

Hello,
My laptop powers on, but the screen remains black. I tried taking the battery out and holding the power button, still nothing.

Do you get a signal with an external monitor?

No I don't get a signal and I pressed f4

If you don't get a signal on an external monitor, it could be an issue with your video card. I suggest you consult a technician
