Connecting problem with My Sony 1 TB drive

Hello,
I have Sony 1 TB open hard drive which is not connecting and then automatically disconnecting with my laptop. I changed the data cable, but the problem is not solved, the drive is useless for me. Please guide me how to solve this issue.

can you try the drive with a different computer?

If it fails on a second computer then the drive has probably failed and can not be recovered with any tools that are available to you.
