Opening my Gmail account Solved/Closed

Question

When I try to go to gmail.com to open my gmail account, I am directed to a page asking me to set up a Google account.  Previously i could type gmail.com and it would take me to my gmail inbox.  Has something changed?

Nothing has changed except perhaps something in your device,

You must go to the signin page.

When is the last time you successfully accessed your account?

Thanks for the response.  It has probably been two months since I accessed the gmail account since I have an AOL account.  When I go to sign in, I am directed to a Google screen asking me to set up a new Google account.  When I enter my gmail ID, it tells me that ID is already established.

Thanks for the help.  The problem seems to be resolved this morning.
