Just curious of anyone's experience of switching from HDMI 2.0 to the latest, 2.1. I haven't changed my cables for years, even when I upgraded to a 4k monitor. I just opened to the idea of a cble upgrade when I've read this article: that details the possible benefits I've been missing for not getting the 2.1. There's a list there (and I'm not too familiar with everything) but apparently, 2.1 supports Dynamix HDR, Variable Refresh Rate, Quick Media Switching, Quick Frame Report and others.

Are all of these just claims? Would there be a significant improvement if I switch to the new HDMI version? Thanks

HDMI is not a standard, so you can have all of the bells and whistles, and STILL NOT every device will play nice!

Thanks! So you think all the "bells and whistles" aren't worth the hassle of an upgrade?

We don't think, we are technically convinced.
