Desktop only thing I see is the wallpaper

Hello, my laptop is a Toshiba brand.
After my machine is booted,the only thing I see is the wallpaper and notting else.hv tried all suggested infos here but still not responding.

which version of Windows does your computer run?

I Posted this on another discussion, but it should help you too.

Another Option.

1. Right Click the background picture
2. Click on the view option
3. On the very bottom of the dialog box there should be a check box to either show or hide icons. Click that and it should display the icons again.
