Hello,

After having solved my problem a few days ago, holding the power button 1 minutes, removing the power cord, problem came back Today and this solution did not help :/ (https://ccm.net/computing/hardware/1535-computer-boots-to-black-screen/
The PC suddenly shuts down (monitor and I can hear the speakers stop too) but PC remains alive with the blue light.
I really don’t know what it can be.

My config:
- Win 10 Pro
- 2x 8 Go Ram. (Hyperx)
- Intel i7-6700 @ 3,40 GHz
- Gigabyte PC
- Graphical NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
- power supply (new) Corsair VS650

Currently I can make retrieve the monitor signal after several tries, removing ram and put it again in the slot, and again holding power button.
I know this will happen again. And I would definitely like to get rid of this situation. If anyone has a path...

Thanks :)

Hi Marcellus,

I can't guarantee a solution tonight.

Holding the power button only works for laptops to eliminate "flee" power. In such a case not only the power cord must be removed but also the battery.

Is this a Gigabyte desktop or laptop?

When the signal is interrupted, how long have you been using it, hours, days?

When the signal is interrupted can you still hear the fan or the hard disk spin or is it totally dead?

Regards

Thanks for your reply Ambucias.

It's a Desktop.
Tonight, the signal interrupted after 30 minutes of usage (live streaming). I have just clicked on Cubase button to launch the app and I loose the signal.
I completely shut down this computer every day.

And indeed, I can hear and see the fans working. The main Hard Drive is a SSD but the other ones are still on (I can see the power light on).

This is maybe the 5th time I meet this issue for a month.

Currently, it works and I run Cubase without any problem or alert.

Thanks again for your help Ambucias.

Okay, here I am at supper time, I will get back to you in the morning for troubleshooting.

P.S. The light on a disk, just means that the power is on. It has to spin.

Issue happened again. I could detect that a USB port with software licensing key did not show the light when I restart the PC.
Don’t know how to check for the Hard Drive.

This PC has been fully checked by local repair centre in August. They probably missed a detail :(

Good night.

HI Marcellus

Lets see if you have any corrupted files

Use the procedure for Windows 10 in this link below and tell me the messages you get if any.

Hello!
Unfortunately, issue came back. In spite of the update of the driver.
Occurrence:
-Just closing Cubase Pro after several hours work.
- Closing a demo of Forza after 20 minutes (probably asking a lot to the GPU). It was the first time I played a game on this computer.
I hope these details can help :/.

What model of Gigbyte MB is it? You may have to open up the case, as there is going to be a REV number. It is important that you try to get the correct REV number, as each REVision has its own BIOS update. I am guessing that there may be a BIOS update that needs to be applied based on the Hardware you listed.

I realize that I gave the Graphic Card reference.
MB reference is GA-Z170N-WIFI. I cannot see the REV number on the Mother Board :/

It is a small number on a corner. Do you still have the box it came in? It will be published on that.

I will start looking at the details you have so far! Hang in there!
