Hello,

I am tryin' to format my C:\ drive for 3rd time and every time it gives me the same error msg that "Windows cannot format this drive because the current setup is using some files from a folder there".
What can I do?

"If you wish to format the hard drive you will need to boot the xp cd installation!!"

You mean to run the windows installation CD in the CD-Rom?

This is what I am doing. But it never happens. I tryed to repair the harddrive with chkdsk /r command. It didn't work out either :(

Hey

You should never do this,
You are trying to format the windows system while its still active!

If you wish to format the hard drive you will need to boot the xp cd installation!!
