Hello,
My USB drive is a little beaten-up, but still worked. Occasionally, I would need to unplug-replug, move it around a little, and then it would work fine. Now, I can't get the computer to recognize it whatsoever. A few minutes ago I was able to have it recognized, but by the time I opened "My Computer," it has lost whatever signal it had had. So now I ask: Does anyone know a solution to this problem? If not, is there a way I can retrieve my files without it being recognized? Such as going to the make of the USB?

hi,

you will not be able to retrieve your files if the drive cannot be recognised.

try to plug it in another port to see if it works.

it may be that the plug is loose, try to plug it in the computer and hold it when the computer recognises it.

then remove your data from it.
