Video clip in .avi format only has audio and no video

Hello,
I did three recordings yesterday, 2 of which only have Audio.
The device when i plugged it into my computer got bumped and came up with an error (didnt pay much attention) removed and replugged the device. The files come up but when i play them i am only getting Audio on x2 of the files, no video. The third recording taken after this has no issue and was set up the same was as the previous two to rule out an issue with the device.
I have tried 1/2 dozen different programs to fix the AVI file with no luck such as
DivX, YoDot, Wonderfox, KM player, digital-video-repair, remo repair, k lite codec, DivFix++, REMO.
none of these have fixed the video component.
