How to Install and Setup WhatsApp When NOT Receiving Texts

Hello,

I am traveling with my Mom abroad. However, she is already overseas and I will be meeting her in 1 week. Therefore, I suggested that she download and install WhatsApp on her Android phone. Part of the setup process requires new users to receive a text and retrieve a 6 digit code from the text to initialize their account. However, because she is already overseas, she does not have cell service and is not receiving her texts.

Can anyone suggest a workaround?
