Locked out of Facebook. Due to verification issues was asked to submit I’d through app, eventually after a week of waiting and submitting a complaint to BBB. After this I got a response saying I should now be able to get in and they sent me an unlock code.

Without realising they actually sent me two, and now after trying the above optimistically get either:

We could not verify your identity (no options) please try again later.

Just keep trying. Had a similar problem once. It was a complete headache.

What was the thing that eventually cracked it? And when was this roughly and how long did it take?

My persistence cracked it. And constant letters to support. It lasted for a week or so.

Thanks! I just used the hints from the app. They usually say which button to press to complain about something.
