Hello, the problem is that if you hadn't previously established the 2nd (new gmail) account as the recovery account for Facebook, it is not possible to change it without being logged into Facebook already. And seeing as Facebook is asking for a code, that it will then send to your 1st gmail account, you won't be able to use this method to get the code.
