Date time error

Hello,

my system's date and time are always going to jan 2005 whenever i switch on the system? can any body give a solution?

You might have a dead CMOS battery that is causing your problems. It's a button type battery attached to your motherboard. Without the power from the battery the BIOS is reverting to the default date and time. It should be easy to replace - just be sure to insert the new one the same way the old one was inserted.
