There may be static electricty stored on the ribbon that connects the keyboard to motherboard, which caused the keys to misread the keystroke command.You may try to remove the laptop's battery, then remove the keyboard, and then, press a key to release any stored electricty. And it should work fine after that.
You can also check out if you have unconsciously assign some keys to access different commands, shortcuts.
Otherwise, you can also try to reset the keyboard and see if it is working in your case.
