My thumbdrive files may have been corrupted. I did the "Command Prompt chkdsk E:f/r/x feature and it deleted all of my files off my thumb drive, and now I cannot find them in my computer. Are they lost for good?

Hello, have a look at this article on how you can try and recover lost or deleted files.

If this doesn't work, you may have unfortunately lost those files.

Regards

Hi,

Usually, a Check disk command is used to troubleshoot the drive issues but there are times when it deletes some files in the process of repair. If you didn't find any file in the thumb drive then don't worry and immediately stop using that drive. Just download any free data recovery software on your system and scan the thumb drive to recover lost files.
