Hello,




LOST all the MEDIA on the main app. This is ridiculous I have lost 1000+ important images and documents!!! When you open the chat setting it shows the there's a certain no. Of media yet when u open, it's says "no photos found" "no documents found" To add on the dual messenger whatsapp is REFUSING to work, its not sending images, or opening pdf! Messages are not backing up!

Hello, what you can try is this:
  • Close WhatsApp, and clear the cache (to be sure the app is not running).
  • Open your phone's file manager and go to WhatsApp > Media
  • You will want to move the content that is in the Media folder into Android > Media > com.whatsapp > WhatsApp > Media.


Wait until the media has been transferred, and you should hopefully find the missing media.

it worked for me, just don't understand how the data was moved initially
