hai frnds,
i have a pen drive sony 8gb is worked fine. but suddenly i yesterday iam not able to detect the pen drive. in xp os it's error is "usb pen drive is attached to computeris malfunctioning or not reconzing ". i put the pendrive in different systems and also fedora os . but pendrive not detected.

hi,

the pen drive is faulty, get it replaced.

this may be because you did not removed it properly.

or you may go to the officia website of Sony and check if you can get the firmware of the pendrive.

hi venky,
 this is why you must always do safely remove before removing . I'm sure that your pen drive is damaged due to this but well if ever it recognize it i advise you t format it but personally i don't think it will happen.
