Can't get whatsapp verification code

Hello,

Dropped my old samsung phone and screen was damaged , purchased new phone put old Sim in new phone, now I can't get a verification code sent. Every other app I use this was an easy transition, not this app. Before I Uninstaller and move to a new platform thought I'd ask the question  here since whatsapp just sends AI responses, no really support. What lousy support 


Android / Chrome 114.0.0.0

Hi,

Your phone number must be written in the international format (example: +1 (123) XXX-XXXX) and make sure SMS are working. You can also request a phone call to get the code. If you still don't get it, try restarting your phone and reinstalling WhatsApp.
