OK, so I went to regedit to my Folder Lock (7.5.1), changed the "1" to a "0", saved it, successfully uninstalled Folder Lock and rebooted.  I went to the folder with my .flk and .flka files... now what?  When I try to open the file, it ask which program I want to use.

Any help please.

Mike

Hi,

Try booting in safe mode, then access that folder. Copy your files to another location and reboot your computer in normal mode.

If this doesn't help, reinstall Folder Lock and repeat the above steps.

Good luck

Deeper question:  The Folder Lock files are still there (my data files) and Folder Lock has been uninstalled.

Do I reinstall Folder Lock?

Hi,

Yes - if you was unable to recover your files in Safe mode by following the above method, reinstall Folder Lock and try once again.

However, if you're still unable to access your files, I've found that you can use your serial number (used to register Folder Lock) in order to unlock them. Access the program and enter it there.

There's also your master password that can be used, but it seems that you've forgotten it or doesn't work since we're trying to find workarounds.

Good luck
