Hola ,
First of all you don't have to panic rest assure if you dowloaded the file it has not been erase all things that you have downloaded is still on your system..
I think that you should select another destination for your download because some files downloaded somethings are not automatically saved on desktop.
Best thing to do is to track them :
Click start :
then Search .
A window will open ..
you will have the following options :
What do you want to search -
Pictures,muisc or video
Documents word processing spreadsheet etc
all files and foloders
Computers or people
Select pictures musics or video
you will have an open tap :
type the name of a song you downloaded recently .
IN THE SEARCH RESULT ONCE IT IS FOUND
right click and look for the file properties you will be able to find where your downloaded files are stored
