Getting my xbox online

Hello, i am wondering do i only need a normal ethernet cable to get my xbox online ? What i mean is can i simply unplug the ethernet cable from the back of my desktop base unit and plug it directly into my xbox 360 to get it online ?

yes u can, at least that wat i do. ur router may not work at first with u swaping it between them but a couple restarts can reprogram it nicely. :)
