Can't connect to IE/Firefox

Hello,
I'm here to try and help my dad. He has 2 computers. His main computer can't connect to IE or Firefox. But his other computer, the one that connects via a wireless router works just fine. Said he hasn't installed or uninstalled anything in the last few days. Can any one help me help dad with this???

forgot to add, his main computer is running windows vista and he uses Nortons security. He told me nothing has changed in the past few days with anything.
