Blank desktop

Hello,
actually i removed all icons like recyclebin,my computer etc from my decktop,so that i get a blank screen with wallpapper only.but what happening is wallpapper is not showing in desktop ,but when i am adding any single folder or anything that wallpapper will come.what i have to do for getting a blank desktop with black background colour with wallpapper which i am selecting?pl gime a reply as soon as possible.

hi,

this is a very simple thing.

go to the desktop and right click.

go to "arrange icon by" and uncheck "show desktop icons"
