Blackberry 8703e -HELP?

Hello,
I just got a refurbished blackberry 8703e. There is no internet browser icon on it, so I cannot log onto the internet using it.. Nor will it open links through sms. Is this normal? Can somebody please help me with somehow getting an internet icon back on there- or explain what possible could be wrong. I've spent countless hours reading through forums and trying different 'tips' and 'tricks'. Sprint is not helpful whatsoever either. I've been through my Options>advanced settings.. and messed around with those things. I've even tried accessing the internet through installing games via usb. Nothing seems to work. I'm very frustrated, and clearly know nothing about blackberry's. I do love my phone, I just need help to work features other than SMS and phone calls..
