1 vista wi-fi , 4lan xps, siemens sl2_141

Hello,

I am having 4 computers which DO NOT HAVE WI-FI and a vista Wifi laptop.
What I want to do is to connect the vista laptop through wireless and all others through wired lan.
I have tried all methods but i cannot get this to work. I found a solution here, but I am afraid to try that because it does not say anything about non-vista computers. I dont want to jeopardize my modem working even only on my laptop. Please help me out.

Connection type : BSNL broadband 750ul@256kbps
Modem name: Seimens SL2_141 (wifi)
Laptop: Dell inspiron 1525
Computers: Assembled, XP

Hye there,

You will have to use a wireless router or switch,

This is the best way to create a LAN at your place

The modem that they provide supports 4 wired and 255 wireless connections.
