Hello,

I have a motherboard that supports SATA and SCSI/Ribbon hard drives. Is it possible to run a SATA HD as your primary HD and also run a SCSI/Ribbon HD as a secondary or slave HD? Is it as simple as hooking both up, when formatted of course, and then changing the bios settings to accomodate or is there more to it than that? Thanks.

Yes you can use both, but the sata HDD should be in port 1 and the jumper should be placed on the master unit in the IDE one and then it's good.

mysticdreams,

Are you saying that I need to use my IDE hard drive as the primary with the jumper set to primary on it and use the SATA hard drive as my secondary/slave in port 1? Thanks.
