Hello, I am in touch with a friend in Beijing (China) every afternoon. Now we cannot video call each other.
If I look in settings...tools...communication, they are telling me I am connected and there is no problem?
There is a exclametion mark in a red circle between my computer and MSN.
Everything works just fine though on Skype and we are in full contact, so why not on live messenger?
I just despair :-(

Hello there,

Please make sure that your time and date are correct,

Then verify your firewall if it's blocking Windows live messenger access

Open Control Panel,

Then open Windows Firewall and add Windows Live Messenger to the exception list

Thanks

My time and date are correct and the windows firewall is not blocking, but something is. It happened suddenly, about Wednesday of this week. I have had ESET on this computer for a long time so it's not that either.
Would a system restore to a week ago cure the problem perhaps?
