My mic won't work Closed

Hello, My mic isnt working for some strange reason... i have it plugged in and all... i called a guy on skype.. but he can't hear me but he can hear my music.. im using windows vista -,- and shit but for some reason my computer don't detect the microphone ... even though its there....

hi there,

have you checked if your microphone is mute?


Double-click the speaker icon, in the system tray,

 and see if the mute box, for the microphone is selected.

or if the jack is plugged in the right channel

i was using gmail vc and the person i was talking to couldnt hear me either
i need help...
