Problems with sound

Hello,
Everything was working perfectly on my pc. Then I connected a webcam and I was having audio issues with that. But once the audio issues were fixed I could hear with that but now when I open my itunes it gives me an error message that says "itunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration audio/video playback may not operate properly". Nothing will play at all and when I open up an online radio station I cannot hear it either. I have disconnected the webcam and uninstalled all of the programs associated with it but I still recieve the itunes error message. Is the something I can fix and how?
